Stabilized Loading of Hyaluronic Acid-Containing Hydrogels into Magnesium-Based Cannulated Screws.
ACS Biomaterials Science & Engineering, 2020Cannulated screws have a structure for inserting a guide wire inside them to effectively correct complicated fractures. Magnesium, an absorbable metal used to manufacture cannulated screws, may decompose in the body after a certain period of implantation.

Pediatric tibial eminence fractures: Arthroscopic cannulated screw fixation
Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic & Related Surgery, 1995Two pediatric tibial eminence fractures were arthroscopically reduced and fixed with cannulated screws. At 2-year follow-up, anterior tibial translatory laxity was normal and the pivot shift test was negative. In one case, the screw transgressed the proximal tibial physis; however, neither case showed evidence of proximal tibial growth arrest.

PERCUTANEOUS CANNULATED SCREW FIXATION OF ACUTE SCAPHOID FRACTURES
Hand Surgery, 2002Percutaneous cannulated screw fixation (PCSF) of acute scaphoid fractures has been shown to consistently produce good results. It is less invasive and avoids damage to the radiocarpal ligaments. The scar is good. The procedure could be performed under Bier's block anaesthesia.

Fixation of tibial pilon fractures with percutaneous cannulated screws
Injury, 2004Closed reduction and internal fixation with percutaneous cannulated screws was performed on seven patients with closed pilon fractures. The mean follow-up was 30.6 months. They were assessed using a subjective scoring system. The average score was 90.8/100. This method of fixation avoids extensive soft tissue dissection and gives excellent results.

Pullout Strengths of Cannulated and Noncannulated Cancellous Bone Screws
Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 1997The pullout strengths of large diameter cannulated and noncannulated cancellous screws were tested in a synthetic polyurethane foam. The foam was fabricated to have mechanical properties equivalent to human cancellous bone and was characterized by compression testing before screw pullout.

Acetabular Reconstruction with Allografts Utilizing Cannulated Screws
1996The acetabulum in revision total hip arthroplasty frequently demonstrates bone stock deficiency secondary to prior surgical technique and bone resorption due to loosening. Dysplasia of the hip and degenerative arthritis may be associated with acetabular bone stock deficiencies as well.
