Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Minimax estimation in sparse canonical correlation analysis
Canonical correlation analysis is a widely used multivariate statistical technique for exploring the relation between two sets of variables. This paper considers the problem of estimating the leading canonical correlation directions in high-dimensional ...

Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

Evaluation, Germination, Seed Vigor and Seedling Emergence and Field Performance of Various Cultivars and Accessions in Red clover (T. pretense L.(, Persian (T. resupinatum L.) and Berseem (T. alexandrinum L.) [PDF]
In this study, to evaluate the seed vigor tests associated with the seedling field emergence and yield of clover cultivars three separate experiments consisted of germination test and seed accelerated aging test in a completely randomized design with 4 ...

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

Estimating the Number of Significant Canonical Coordinates
This study proposes a novel model selection criterion for dimensionality estimation in canonical correlation analysis (CCA), which can be used to estimate the number of correlated components between two sets of multivariate vectors, particularly in the ...

A Comparison of Relaxations of Multiset Cannonical Correlation Analysis and Applications [PDF]
Canonical correlation analysis is a statistical technique that is used to find relations between two sets of variables. An important extension in pattern analysis is to consider more than two sets of variables.
