Real‐Time Monitoring of Mass and Mechanical Properties in Single Cells and Multicellular Spheroids
Advanced Science, EarlyView.This study introduces photothermally actuated microcantilevers combined with optical microscopy to simultaneously measure morphology, mass, and mechanical properties of cellular systems in real‐time. The findings link cytoplasm‐dominated mechanical energy dissipation to the Q‐factor as a novel biophysical parameter.

Nonlinear Ion‐Specific Control of Underwater Adhesion by Bottlebrush Polymer Interfaces
Advanced Science, EarlyView.The efficiency of underwater adhesion is modulated by ion‐specific effects. Strongly hydrated Na+ remains separated from the mica surface by its hydration shell, preserving access to binding sites, whereas weakly hydrated K+ can partially dehydrate and occupy ditrigonal cavities.
