Inhibition of CD73 expression or A2AR blockade reduces MRP1 expression and increases the sensitivity of cervical cancer cells to cisplatin

open access: yesCell Biochemistry and Function, Volume 41, Issue 3, Page 321-330, April 2023., 2023
Abstract Recently, a link between the biological activity of CD73 in solid tumors and multidrug resistance protein (MRP) has been proposed. Cisplatin (CP) is the most widely used anticancer agent to treat advanced and recurrent cervical cancer (CC). However, multidrug resistance protein‐1 (MRP1) is overexpressed in approximately 85% of these tumors and

Ars2‐containing bispecific, Fab‐ and IgG1‐format BAR‐bodies to target DLBCL cells

open access: yeseJHaem, Volume 4, Issue 1, Page 125-134, February 2023., 2023
Abstract Despite recent advances in the therapy of diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma, not otherwise specified (DLBCL), around 30% of patients develop refractory disease or relapse after first‐line treatment. Recently, Ars2 was reported as the auto‐antigenic target of the B‐cell receptor (BCR) in approximately 25% of activated B‐cell DLBCL cases. Ars2 could

Noncanonical metabolite RNA caps: Classification, quantification, (de)capping, and function

open access: yesWIREs RNA, Volume 13, Issue 6, November/December 2022., 2022
Metabolite caps are distinct 5′‐terminal modifications of RNA that occur in prokaryotes and eukaryotes. Abundant metabolites such as NAD, CoA, or NpnNs serve as noncanonical initiating nucleotides during transcription. Turnover, stability, and function are tightly regulated for specific subgroups of metabolite‐capped RNAs.

Risk factors for self‐reported insufficient milk during the first 6 months of life: A systematic review

open access: yesMaternal &Child Nutrition, Volume 18, Issue S3, May 2022., 2022
Modifiable protective factors identified through this systematic review for delayed onset of lactation (DOL) and self‐reported insufficient milk (SRIM) were hospital practices, such as timely breastfeeding (BF) initiation, avoiding in‐hospital commercial milk formula supplementation, and BF counseling/support.

SARS‐CoV‐2 infection and venous thromboembolism after surgery: an international prospective cohort study

open access: yesAnaesthesia, Volume 77, Issue 1, Page 28-39, January 2022., 2022
Summary SARS‐CoV‐2 has been associated with an increased rate of venous thromboembolism in critically ill patients. Since surgical patients are already at higher risk of venous thromboembolism than general populations, this study aimed to determine if patients with peri‐operative or prior SARS‐CoV‐2 were at further increased risk of venous ...

Analytical Comparison of Three Commercial Lysing Reagents for Full‐Spectrum Flow Cytometric Immunophenotyping

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, Volume 40, Issue 2, January 2026.
Our study compared three commercial lysing solutions used in spectral FC immunophenotyping. We found that Excellyse I demonstrated the best overall performance, with greater cell preservation, clearer population resolution, and lower variability in scatter and fluorescence.
