Protection in capability-based operating systems is comsidered. The concept of a conditional capability, which is a generalization of a conventional capability, is proposed. The conditional capability can only be exercised when certain conditions relating to the context of its use are satisfied.

The use of capabilities to control the access of component programs to resources in an operating system is an attractive means by which to provide a uniform protection mechanism. In this paper, a capability is defined as an abstract encapsulation of the data needed to define access to a protected object.

Service Capability: Capability Quality and Capability Process
2013Along with the arrival of the service economy, more and more companies start to pay attention to service capability, but how to enhance the service capability effectively, is still a theoretical and academic question to solve. This paper argue that the nature of service capacity is essentially a kind of energy, and defines the service capability from ...

Capability Modelling – Case of Logistics Capabilities
2013Even though the concept of capability is an important element in service oriented architectures and enterprise information systems, little effort has been put towards modelling it as a first class citizen. Major related contributions were part of other efforts such as modelling business processes, service description and search requests.

Dynamic Capability and Firm Performance: The Role of Marketing Capability and Operations Capability
IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, 2017Scholars have argued that dynamic capability can influence firm performance through a variety of means and mechanisms. However, the empirical test of the relationship between dynamic capability, marketing capability, and operations capability on firm performance has remained scant.
