GroupSpeak: High-level Language Extension for Workflow Capability
2009 IEEE International Conference on Web Services, 2009Currently, workflow systems are either XML based or component based. Both paradigms have usability deficiencies. XML is not designed for procedural programming. Legacy code is difficult to adapt to component based systems. We propose a new paradigm by adding workflow keywords to an existing high-level language.

Development of firm-level technological capabilities
Journal of the Asia Pacific Economy, 2004This article reports from a broader study of development of technological capability in the Indonesian electronics industry with particular focus on local companies. The article discusses the concept of 'technological capability'. An operationalization of the concept is proposed and a model of capability development at the firm level devised.

This study will conceptualize antecedents of dynamic capabilities at the individual and organizational level. My focus is on network exploitation capability, defined as the ability of an organization to effectively “orchestrate” the combination of traditional and technology-enabled distribution channels for its product or service.

Integrating network optimization capabilities into a high-level modeling language
ACM Transactions on Mathematical Software, 1990Research in network optimization has reached the stage where large-scale problems-linear or non-linear, pure or generalized-are solved very efficiently with minimal computing resources. Representing such problems for solution on the computer, however, remains a rather cumbersome task.

Production-Level Distributed Parametric Study Capabilities for the Grid
2001Though tools are available for creating and launching parameter studies in distributed environments, production-level users have shunned these tools for a variety of reasons. Ultimately, this is simply a result of the inability of these tools to provide anything more than a demonstration-level capability, rather than the flexibility and variety of ...

A new level of language generation technology: capabilities and possibilities
[1990] Proceedings. The Fifth Annual AI Systems in Government Conference, 1992A description is given of how Penman, one of the largest language generators in the world, has been restructured to make it one of the easiest to use, requiring semantic (i.e. domain-based) input instead of syntactic forms. How the presence of powerful sentence-generator technology allows the development of a number of new projects is outlined.

DIGITALIZATION OF THE ECONOMY, NECESSITY AND CAPABILITIES (AT THE REGIONAL LEVEL)

Evaluating the ordering of the SPICE capability levels: an empirical study
Information and Software Technology, 2005Abstract The Standard ISO/IEC PDTR 15504 (Software Process Assessment) defines process attributes (PAs) and associated practices must be implemented according to a process capability level. This definition implies that PA practices at lower capability levels must be implemented before moving to higher capability levels.
