Hyperspectral Imaging: The Intelligent Eye to Uncover the Password of Plant Science

open access: yesModern Agriculture, Volume 3, Issue 2, December 2025.
Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) has emerged as a powerful non‐destructive technique for characterisation of the plant phenotype and physiological traits. The ongoing development of cost‐effective hardware, coupled with standardised acquisition protocols and open‐access spectral libraries, is accelerating its integration with multi‐omics approaches to ...

Identification of key process areas in the production on an e-capability maturity model for UK construction organisations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Uptake of e-procurement by construction organisations has been slow (Martin, 2008). Positive e-business achievements in other industries, point towards the potential for the construction industry to accomplish similar results.

Pectin Metabolism Influences Phloem Architecture and Flowering Time in Arabidopsis Thaliana

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 39, October 20, 2025.
Cell wall remodeling mediated by changes in pectic homogalacturonan, including its methyl‐esterification status and degradation, shapes wall architecture. This study finds that pectin metabolism dynamically modulates wall properties and triggers auxin responses, which influence phloem morphogenesis and function, mediating the long‐distance transport of

Mechanics of the Spatiotemporal Evolution of Sulcal Pits in the Folding Brain

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 46, Issue 13, September 2025.
This study introduces a true‐scale, image‐based mechanical model to investigate the spatiotemporal evolution of sulcal pits during fetal brain development. The model predicts cortical surface morphology, demonstrating the stability of sulcal pits over time and providing key insights into brain folding mechanisms and their relevance to ...

Design of a Simple and Rugged Soft Polydimethylsiloxane‐Carbon Nanotube‐Graphene‐Based Composite Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 10, Issue 16, August 21, 2025.
This research presents an easy to fabricate, low‐cost, flexible piezoresistive deformation sensor comprised of a carbon nanotube, few‐layer graphene, and polydimethylsiloxane composite. The sensor detects deformations and vibrations up to 600 Hz with 0.1% strain sensitivity from stiff and soft targets in dry and wet environments.
