Abstract The partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2) in rivers is influenced by carbonate weathering, soil CO2, photosynthesis, and the mineralization of dissolved organic carbon (DOC). Salty suitors: High larval sodium intake reduces adult lifespan and influences reproductive behaviour in a lepidopteran herbivore

Low‐sodium females took significantly longer to start mating than high‐sodium females, but no pairings differed in the duration of copulation. Reproductive outputs, measured by number of clutches, hatching young, adult offspring and pupation time, did not differ across parental sodium pairings.
