Analysis of Negative Capacitance-Based Broadband Impedance Matching for CMUTs

IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control, 2021
Tight integration of capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducer (CMUT) arrays with integrated circuits can make active impedance matching feasible for practical imaging devices. In this article, negative capacitance-based impedance matching for CMUTs is investigated.

A DC voltage capacitance matching tester

1997 IEEE International Conference on Microelectronic Test Structures Proceedings, 2002
We developed a self-contained capacitor matching tester that requires only the application and measurement of DC voltages. The test circuit includes its own oscillator, a nonoverlapping clock generator, and a second-order active lowpass filter. Our measurement accuracy is about 0.005% 3-sigma, and the tester is 1000 microns high by 300 microns wide.

Capacitive power transfer with impedance matching network

2016 IEEE 12th International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications (CSPA), 2016
This paper presents the development of a new wireless power transfer technique using capacitive coupling. Capacitive power transfer (CPT) system has been introduced as an attractive alternative to the traditional inductive coupling method. This is due to the CPT benefits of simple topology, fewer components, better EMI performance and robustness to ...

High‐Performing and Capacitive‐Matched Triboelectric Implants Driven by Ultrasound

Advanced Materials, 2023
AbstractIn implantable bioelectronics, which aim for semipermanent use of devices, biosafe energy sources and packaging materials to protect devices are essential elements. However, research so far has been conducted in a direction where they cannot coexist.

A Capacitive SIW Discontinuity for Impedance Matching

IEEE Transactions on Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology, 2019
We present a shunt capacitive substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) discontinuity for the first time. The discontinuity is parametrically characterized in terms of its reactive impedance, and an equivalent circuit model is presented and validated. $C$ -band prototypes are manufactured and measured, confirming the simulated results.

Capacitive fingerprint sensor chip for automatic matching

2000 TENCON Proceedings. Intelligent Systems and Technologies for the New Millennium (Cat. No.00CH37119), 2002
This paper examines the implementation of high resolution fingerprint sensor chip. The chip is composed of 256/spl times/26 sensing cells. Using this integrated sensor, the fingerprint is captured by pressing the finger skin onto the chip surface.

CMOS Low Noise Amplifier with Capacitive Feedback Matching

2007 IEEE Custom Integrated Circuits Conference, 2007
A capacitive shunt feedback LNA input matching network is demonstrated which offers matching, good noise performance, low component count and low area consumption. A prototype 9 GHz LNA vehicle amplifier is designed and fabricated in a 130 nm RF-CMOS process.

Maximum matching for multi-capacitated fleet backhaul management

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2019
Supply chain efficiency is one of the keys to success for many companies. A critical link in the supply chain is transportation, which needs to be well managed to ensure timeliness, reliability, and minimum cost implications. A potentially costly problem is empty backhauling, which occurs when a cargo truck runs empty on the return trip.

A Novel Capacitance-Match Method for EAS Responder

2008 International Conference on Computer Science and Software Engineering, 2008
A novel manufacture technology in regard to EAS responder of conductive ink was introduced. According to its operating principle, running characteristics of recovery and puncturing responder were analyzed as well as a calculation for parasitic and tuning capacitance. In addition, a new match technology was provided for retrievable parasitic capacitance.

Systematic capacitance matching errors and corrective layout procedures

IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 1994
Precise capacitor ratios are employed in a variety of analog and mixed signal integrated circuits. The use of identical unit capacitors to form larger capacitances can easily produce 1% accuracy, but, in many cases, 0.1% accuracy can provide important performance advantages.
