CMOS-Driven VCSEL-Based Photonic Links: an Exploration of the Power-Sensitivity Trade-Off

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
This article explores the power-sensitivity trade-off in optical receivers aiming to improve the energy-efficiency of the overall link. Optical receivers with field-effect transistor (FET) front-ends (FEs) are usually designed for optimal noise ...

Adaptive Fuzzy Modal Matching of Capacitive Micromachined Gyro Electrostatic Controlling

open access: yesSensors, 2023
A fuzzy PI controller was utilized to realize the modal matching between a driving and detecting model. A simulation model was built to study electrostatic decoupling controlling technology. The simulation results show that the modal matching can be gained by the fuzzy PI controller.

Research on impedance matching method for magnetic resonant coupling wireless power transmission system

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2019
In view of the problem that the input impedance does not match the RF internal resistance and the output power decreases due to the change of transmission distance or load in magnetic resonant coupling wireless power transmission system, an impedance ...

On Modal Excitation Using Capacitive Coupling Elements and Matching Network [PDF]

open access: yes2019 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting, 2019
A resonant characteristic mode (CM) is useful for antenna design if it is properly excited and well matched to the source. In this paper, we consider the feed design for the excitation of the fundamental CM of a rectangular chassis. The tradeoff between the required number of capacitive coupling elements (CCE) and matching elements used for achieving a

Capacitive-loaded interstitial antenna for perfect matching

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2003
A coaxial-cable capacitive-loaded interstitial antenna (CCIA) is proposed for 2.45 GHz. The capacitive load contributes to almost perfect matching and desirable heating area. The measured return loss of the CCIA is −28.377 dB, which may be considered as the best among those reported.

Design of Asymmetrical Relay Resonators for Maximum Efficiency of Wireless Power Transfer

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2016
This paper presents a new design method of asymmetrical relay resonators for maximum wireless power transfer. A new design method for relay resonators is demanded because maximum power transfer efficiency (PTE) is not obtained at the resonant frequency ...

Novel Lossless Positive-/Negative-Grounded Capacitance Multipliers Using VCII

open access: yesElektronika ir Elektrotechnika, 2023
In the presented research, the second-generation voltage conveyor (VCII) is used in the design of active capacitance multipliers. In this paper, three positive and one negative lossless grounded capacitance multipliers (GCMs) are designed.

A 300-800MHz Tunable Filter and Linearized LNA applied in a Low-Noise Harmonic-Rejection RF-Sampling Receiver [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A multiband flexible RF-sampling receiver aimed at software-defined radio is presented. The wideband RF sampling function is enabled by a recently proposed discrete-time mixing downconverter. This work exploits a voltage-sensing LNA preceded by a tunable
