Monopole Antenna Miniaturization with Magneto-Dielectric Material Loading Combined with Metal Parasitic Element

open access: yesMagnetism, 2022
In this paper is shown a new way to use Magneto-Dielectric Materials (MDM) in order to miniaturize monopole antennas. It is proposed to load an antenna with MDM to use the relative permeability to achieve the first 17% miniaturization rate.

Popular Matchings in the Capacitated House Allocation Problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We consider the problem of finding a popular matching in the Capacitated House Allocation problem (CHA). An instance of CHA involves a set of agents and a set of houses. Each agent has a preference list in which a subset of houses are ranked in strict order, and each house may be matched to a number of agents that must not exceed its capacity.

Microstrip Capacitance for a Circular Disk Through Matched Asymptotic Expansions [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 1982
The solution of the potential around two parallel circular disks separated by a dielectric slab is obtained by using the method of matched asymptotic expansions, asymptotic formula for the capacitance has been derived in the limit of small separation $2\delta $. The formula obtained includes terms of order $\delta $ as well.

Inspired by game theory: A spatial confinement strategy for narrow-pore distribution porous carbons toward high-performance supercapacitors

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2023
This work suggests how understanding the Gibbs free energy evolution mechanism recorded for solid activators at high temperatures can provide a simple and general route to targeted tuning in preparing porous carbons. We show that based on a novel spatial

On-Chip Matching Networks for Radio-Frequency Single-Electron-Transistors

open access: yes, 2007
In this letter, we describe operation of a radio-frequency superconducting single electron transistor (RF-SSET) with an on-chip superconducting LC matching network consisting of a spiral inductor L and its capacitance to ground.

A 16 channel high-voltage driver with 14 bit resolution for driving piezoelectric actuators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
A high-voltage, 16 channel driver with a maximum voltage of 72 volt and 14 bit resolution in a high-voltage CMOS (HV-CMOS) process is presented. This design incorporates a 14 bit monotonic by design DAC together with a high-voltage complementary class AB

Tunable Balanced-to-Unbalanced In-Phase Power Divider: Theoretical Analysis and Design [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2022
This paper presents a tunable power divider (PD) which is balanced at the input port and unbalanced at the output ports. This tunable balanced-to-unbalanced (TBU) PD divides the power either equally or in specific ratio by varying capacitance in the ...
