Stability of a circuit with parasitic capacitances
Proceedings of ISCAS'95 - International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002A novel algorithm which is based on the linear programming technique is proposed to test the stability property of a circuit. This algorithm is efficient and non-Lyapunov equation based. Parasitic capacitances which may de-stabilize a circuit can be located.

Minimum detectable capacitance in capacitive readout circuits
2011 IEEE 54th International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS), 2011In this paper, accurate equations are presented to calculate the capacitance resolution in the readout circuits exploiting different techniques to reduce the circuit low-frequency noise. The circuit parameters and trade-offs affecting the capacitance resolution are comprehensively involved in these equations.

A circuit for the temperature compensation of capacitive sensors
1996 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems. Circuits and Systems Connecting the World. ISCAS 96, 2002A voltage reference which yields a voltage proportional to a reference voltage (V/sub REF/) and relative temperature (/spl Delta/T) is presented. The application, typically the interfacing of sensors whose output signal is proportional to V/sub REF/, is described.

Capacitance measuring circuit for water waves
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1979A simple, reliable, integrated circuit is described which is used to measure standing water waves of amplitudes ranging from less than 1 mm. The circuit has a high dynamic range and is linear for changes in water depth of several centimeters. The sensitivity of this capacitance measuring device is 38 mV/mm of wave amplitude, enabling small amplitude ...

Interface circuit for capacitive microaccelerometer
2008 51st Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2008This paper reports an interface circuit that provides an interface from capacitive MEMS sensors to other signal processing circuits. The interface circuit designed specially for capacitive accelerometer and gyroscopes applications is implemented in 0.35-mum 2P-4M CMOS process and measurement results that indicate the interface circuit resolves 7.3 aF ...

Diode rectifying circuits with capacitance filters
Electrical Engineering, 1941This paper presents the results of an investigation of the half wave and full wave rectifier circuits with a simple capacitance filter and using either high vacuum or mercury vapor tubes. In the fore part of the paper an equivalent circuit is set up such that when the tube is conducting, a mercury vapor tube is represented by a constant voltage drop or

The capacitance of integrated-circuit elements
IEEE Circuits and Devices Magazine, 1999The purpose of this note is to demonstrate that it is possible to modify a technique that was originally developed for calculations involving the scattering of electromagnetic waves from diverse-shaped objects and use it in calculations involving integrated-circuit elements.

The Circuit Elements of Capacitance and Inductance
1973The networks discussed previously have consisted of energy sources and energy dissipators but not energy storers. The circuit elements which store energy endow a network with non-instantaneous properties by virtue of the time necessary for them to increase or decrease their stored energy.
