Behavior Studies by Capacitance Sensing
Science, 1961The movements of small burrowing animals submerged in sand are monitored through capacitance changes which detune radio-frequency oscillators. A new dimension of reptilian activity studies is possible by using this technique. Some early observations of several reptile species maintained in darkness in isothermal sand are given.

Non invasive health monitoring systems are gaining great importance due to regular monitoring of health without the painful measurements for each test. Here we use the concept of capacitive sensing to measure heart rate and blood pressure noninvasively. The capsense technology has played a vital role in switching applications but our aim is to make the

Capacitivo: Contact-Based Object Recognition on Interactive Fabrics using Capacitive Sensing
ACM Symposium on User Interface Software and Technology, 2020We present Capacitivo, a contact-based object recognition technique developed for interactive fabrics, using capacitive sensing. Unlike prior work that has focused on metallic objects, our technique recognizes non-metallic objects such as food, different

Capacitive Sensing-Based Charge Measurement for Space Inertial Sensors
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and MeasurementHigh-energy particles in space will inevitably penetrate the spacecraft into the suspended test mass, which would seriously affect the detection of gravitational waves; therefore, charge measurement and control are essential.
