In the paper, the regularities of changes in electricity losses and the coefficient of its transfer to a linear active load during the discharge of a supercapacitor on the load under different conditions of interruption of discharge currents are ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Ultraviolet Electrostatic Field Effect Light-Emitting Diode

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2020
The potential of ultraviolet (UV) AlGaN quantum well (QW) light-emitting diodes (LEDs) is stunted due to the lack of efficient p-type doping for this ultra wide bandgap material.

Three phosphatase families form a community: The phosphohydrolases that act upon inositol pyrophosphates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Silicon Capacitors Opportunities for Switched Capacitor Converter

open access: yes2022 IEEE 23rd Workshop on Control and Modeling for Power Electronics (COMPEL), 2022
This paper investigates emerging capacitor technologies to address the need of high power density (e.g.greater than 1W/mm²) DC-DC switching converters. Existing modeling of DC-DC step-down switched capacitor converter (SCC) is employed in this work to benchmark different types of capacitors, such as standard MOS capacitor and emerging silicon ...

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Modeling Capacitive Low-Power Voltage Transformer Behavior over Temperature and Frequency

open access: yesSensors, 2021
The use of capacitive dividers (CDs) in medium-voltage (MV) networks started as simple voltage detectors and as rough voltage measurement instruments for protective purposes.
