An eight‐switch five‐level inverter with zero leakage current

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2021
This paper examines a multilevel transformer‐less grid‐tied inverter topology is proposed for PV applications. Nowadays, transformer‐less inverters are more desirous due to their small filter size, cheaper and higher efficiency.

An improved four‐layer capacitor voltage control strategy combined with arm current control for transformerless modular multilevel converters

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2023
In order to improve the performance of the transformerless modular multilevel converters (MMC) under AC and DC grid fault conditions, this paper proposes an improved four‐layer capacitor voltage control strategy combined with arm current control.

Modified capacitor voltage balancing sorting algorithm for modular multilevel converter

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
The modular multilevel converter (MMC) with large-scale sub-modules has the advantage of simpler modulation, lower switching frequency, and lower harmonic component, thus would be very promising in voltage source converter (VSC)–high voltage direct ...

Hierarchical voltage balancing method for MMC based on DCSM

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2022
This paper presents a hierarchical voltage balance control method for a hybrid modular multi‐level converter based on half‐bridge submodule and dual‐capacitor submodule. This voltage balancing method reduces the control complexity of the existing voltage

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Research on balance control strategy of single capacitor clamped five‐level inverter clamping capacitor

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2021
A five‐level inverter composed of a single capacitor clamped three‐level topology and a half‐bridge is introduced, and a new SPWM control strategy for this topology is proposed.

Three phosphatase families form a community: The phosphohydrolases that act upon inositol pyrophosphates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...
