Modeling energy storage capacitors or when a capacitor is not a capacitor
Digest of Technical Papers. PPC-2003. 14th IEEE International Pulsed Power Conference (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37472), 2004Energy storage capacitors are used extensively in pulsed power systems as primary or intermediate energy storage units. In very fast, low inductance systems internal construction of the capacitor can have significant affect on system performance. This is true in systems such as fast Marx generators, BMP systems and lasers.

When Is a Capacitor NOT a Capacitor?
The Physics Teacher, 2006This paper presents a simple yet effective experiment-based exercise that leads students to develop a circuit model for real capacitors. Additionally, this exercise drives home the point that characteristics of commonly used electrical components are heavily dependent on operating frequency.

Capacitors and capacitor circuits
1996The capacitor is one of the few electrical components which can store energy, and in this chapter we look at the way in which the capacitor is used in electrical and electronic circuits. By the end of this chapter, the reader will be able to Calculate the capacitance of a parallel-plate capacitor.
