Capacity factors in a point-to-point network [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate some properties on capacity factors, which were proposed to investigate the link failure problem from network coding. A capacity factor (CF) of a network is an edge set, deleting which will cause the maximum flow to decrease while deleting any proper subset will not.

Power Prediction of Wind Farms via a Simplified Actuator Disk Model
This paper aims to demonstrate a simplified nonlinear wake model that fills the technical gap between the low-cost and less-accurate linear formulation and the high-cost and high-accuracy large eddy simulation, to offer a suitable balance between the ...

What factors influence mitigative capacity? [PDF]
Abstract This article builds on Yohe's seminal piece on mitigative capacity, which elaborates ‘determinants’ of mitigative capacity, also reflected in the IPCC's third assessment report. We propose a revised definition, where mitigative capacity is a country's ability to reduce anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions or enhance natural sinks.

Wind Energy Potential and Power Law Indexes Assessment for Selected Near-Coastal Sites in Malaysia
This paper investigated the wind energy potential by analysing a certain amount of gathered 10-min measured data at four stations located at coastal sites in Malaysia, i.e., Kudat, Mersing, Kijal, and Langkawi. The wind data are collected from a total of
