The Effect of Foot Reflexology Massage on Delirium and Physiological Indicators in Children Admitted to Pediatric Intensive Care Unit: A Randomized Clinical Trial

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Introduction Children in pediatric intensive care units (PICUs) are commonly affected by delirium, which poses considerable challenges in clinical management. Changes in vital signs can serve as early warning indicators of disease progression in children.

Nicotinamide nucleotide transhydrogenase deficiency and genetic susceptibility to high glucose‐mediated peritoneal injury in mice

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, Volume 13, Issue 22, November 2025.
High‐glucose peritoneal dialysis (PD) fluid induces oxidative stress, inflammation, and fibrosis in the peritoneum. In vivo, Nnt‐deficient C57BL/6J mice showed significantly reduced PD‐induced peritoneal injury, inflammation, and fibrosis compared with Nnt‐competent C57BL/6N controls.

Topological descriptors for 3D surface analysis

open access: yes, 2016
We investigate topological descriptors for 3D surface analysis, i.e. the classification of surfaces according to their geometric fine structure. On a dataset of high-resolution 3D surface reconstructions we compute persistence diagrams for a 2D cubical ...

Optimal reactive operation of general topology supply chain and manufacturing networks under disruptions

open access: yesAIChE Journal, Volume 71, Issue 7, July 2025.
Abstract Supply and manufacturing networks in the chemical industry involve diverse processing steps across different locations, rendering their operation vulnerable to disruptions from unplanned events. Optimal responses should consider factors such as product allocation, delayed shipments, and price renegotiation, among other factors. In such context,

Existence of periodic solutions of the FitzHugh-Nagumo equations for an explicit range of the small parameter

open access: yes, 2016
The FitzHugh-Nagumo model describing propagation of nerve impulses in axon is given by fast-slow reaction-diffusion equations, with dependence on a parameter $\epsilon$ representing the ratio of time scales.
