Abstract Guaraná (Paullinia cupana) is a fruit native to the Amazon region. Due to its widespread use, primarily in beverages, its production has grown over the years. The seed is the only commercially valuable part of the fruit so the guaraná production chain generates byproducts, including peel, husk, and spent seed.

Levofloxacin is a widely used antibiotic included in rifampicin‐resistant tuberculosis (RR‐TB) treatment. Data describing levofloxacin concentrations in breastmilk and infant exposure are limited. Possible therapeutic repositioning of valproic acid: From epileptic seizures to acute kidney injury
Valproic acid, an anticonvulsant, may be repositioned to prevent acute kidney injury due to ischemia followed by reperfusion. It preserves renal functions, electrolyte homeostasis and active sodium transport in kidney tubules, and blocks the onset of hypertension.
