Transparent Perovskite Light‐Emitting Diodes with Conductive Oxide Top Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Transparent perovskite light‐emitting diodes (TrPeLEDs) enable simultaneous display and transparency, expanding application possibilities. Using a metal oxide buffer layer and pulsed laser deposition, TrPeLEDs with diverse compositions and architectures are demonstrated.

All‐Optical Reconfigurable Physical Unclonable Function for Sustainable Security

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐optical reconfigurable physical unclonable function (PUF) is demonstrated using plasmonic coupling–induced sintering of optically trapped gold nanoparticles, where Brownian motion serves as a robust entropy source. The resulting optical PUF exhibits high encoding density, strong resistance to modeling attacks, and practical authentication ...

Single Crystals of Perylene Diimide‐Based Two‐Dimensional Covalent Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Synthesizing extended crystals of two‐dimensional covalent organic frameworks (2D COFs) has remained a major challenge. Here, we report a high‐temperature double‐modulator strategy that provides access to new perylene diimide (PDI)‐based COFs with crystal sizes of up to 50 µm.

Phase‐Pure and Size‐Tunable Tin Halide Perovskite Quantum Dots

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A trioctylphosphine oxide modulated protocol allows for the synthesis and study of the optical properties of a broad library of tin halide perovskite quantum dots across multiple A‐ and X‐site compositions with precise size tuning while eliminating unwanted 2D phases.

Phase Engineering of Atomically Precise Nanoclusters (APNCs) of Gold and Beyond

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Engineering the structural phase of materials is of paramount importance for both fundamental research and practical applications. In this Review, we summarize the recent progress in controlling the phases of atomically precise nanoclusters (APNCs) of gold, silver and copper, as well as bimetallic systems. The phase‐enabled material properties of APNCs

Cape Sparrows roosting in Cape Weaver nests in Cape Town

Biodiversity Observations, 2017
Night checks were conducted at seven Cape Weaver Ploceus capensis colonies in Pinelands to determine if the rate at which other species used the nests for roosting increased as it became colder. Cape Sparrows Passer melanurus roosted in nests, but the number roosting did not increase as night temperatures dropped, probably as temperatures were cool but

CAPE

Proceedings of the VLDB Endowment, 2019
In this demonstration we showcase Cape, a system that explains surprising aggregation outcomes. In contrast to previous work, which relies exclusively on provenance, Cape explains outliers in aggregation queries through related outliers in the opposite direction that provide counterbalance .

CAPE Vulnerability Index

International Review of Psychiatry, 2020
The Compassion, Assertive action, Pragmatism and Evidence (CAPE) Vulnerability Index is a global foreign policy index which has been used to identify countries which require foreign aid and how that can be prioritized. The Index offers an evidenced, structured, and reasoned approach to using aid in bi-lateral agreements with mental health as a ...
