Capillary Fragility and Diabetic Retinitis

AN INCREASED incidence of retinal changes among patients with diabetes has been noted in recent years. Diabetes of long duration has been associated with the greatest increase in retinal hemorrhages, although hypertension or other evidences of generalized vascular or renal disease may be present or develop subsequently.
