Capillary hemangioma of the caruncle

The caruncle is located in the medial canthal area and is composed of cutaneous, conjunctival and lacrimal tissues. Consequently, a tumour or cyst may develop in the caruncle that may be similar to one found in these tissues. Lesions of the caruncle are rare and difficult to diagnose.
