Relative Permeability from Capillary Pressure
SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition, 2002Abstract A new theory is reviewed for single-component, two-phase flow in porous media. It includes wettability and capillary pressure as integral parts of the thermodynamic description and does not make use of the relative permeability concept.

Pulmonary capillary pressure and permeability
Critical Care Medicine, 1979An appreciation of the "state of the art" of pulmonary capillary pressure and permeability must necessarily form an important part of the basis of a rational choice of fluid therapy. The present state of the understanding of pulmonary transcapillary fluid exchange is developed. Laboratory data are used in conjunction with clinical evidence to construct

Capillary Permeability in Cutaneous Tissue
Acta Physiologica Scandinavica, 1976AbstractPaaske, W. P.Capillary permeability in cutaneous tissue. Acta physiol. scand. 1976.98. 492–499.Capillary permeability in cutaneous tissue was determined by the single injection, external counting method. A rabbit abdominal skin preparation was developed.

Physiologic Regulation of Capillary Permeability
Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery, 1988The review provides an update and overview of the role of exchange microvessels in the transfer of materials between circulating blood and metabolizing tissues. Following a presentation of the basic mechanisms governing transvascular movement of water and solutes, both active and passive modulation of vascular permeability are discussed.

Capillary Permeability in Skeletal Muscle
Acta Physiologica Scandinavica, 1977AbstractCapillary permeability in skeletal muscle was investigated by applying the single injection, external registration method to the autoperfused cat gastrocnemius preparation.51Cr‐EDTA (MW: 341.2) and57Co‐B12 (MW: 1353.5) served as simultaneously injected indicators.

Capillary permeability in septic patients
Critical Care Medicine, 1984It is suspected, but still unproven, that the increased capillary permeability which accompanies sepsis and contributes to the development of pulmonary edema (PE) involves systemic as well as pulmonary capillaries. We investigated the relationship between the colloid osmotic pressure of serum (COPS) and edema fluid (COPE) in 16 septic and 19 nonseptic ...

Capillary permeability and interstitium
Clinical Hemorheology and Microcirculation, 1982With the newly developed technique for studying solute transport across capillary walls in single capillarries by means of microelectrodes (Crone et al. 1978, Crone and Christensen, 1981) it has become possible to distinguish between diffusion across the capillary wall and diffusion in the interstitium.

When Capillary Permeability Increases
Physiology, 1987Capillary permeability is usually ascribed to a number of "small" pores. In this article the small-pore pathway is identified as interruptions in the tight junctions between endothelial cells. Modulation of capillary permeability involves control of tight junction permeability with cytosolic Ca2+ as the important signal molecule.

Capillary permeability in fibromyalgia.
The Journal of rheumatology, 1994To examine capillary permeability in fibromyalgia (FMS) we studied the nailfold capillaries of 13 unselected patients with FMS and 9 healthy controls using dynamic fluorescence videomicroscopy. The transcapillary permeability of a 20% solution of sodium fluorescein injected into an antecubital vein was assessed by videodensitometric analysis.
