A scalable nano‐/micro‐confinement strategy is developed, where polyacrylamide (PAM)‐LiCl hybrid desiccants are confined within hollow nanoparticles (HNPs) and assembled into raspberry‐like microbeads. The beads have a hydrogel‐rich core and an NP‐rich shell for fast absorption and desorption, releasing water 13.6 L kg⁻¹ day⁻¹.

Investigation of Micro Porosity Sintered wick in Vapor Chamber for Fan Less Design [PDF]
Micro Porosity Sintered wick is made from metal injection molding processes, which provides a wick density with micro scale. It can keep more than 53 % working fluid inside the wick structure, and presents good pumping ability on working fluid ...

Organ‐on‐Chip (OoC) technology enables the precise modeling of the blood‐brain barrier (BBB). This study presents a microfluidic device that mimics brain microvessels, integrating co‐culture with pericytes and astrocytes under pulsatile flow. Results show that perivascular cells modulate endothelial morphology, promoting lumen formation and barrier ...

Effects of applied load and its direction on the permeability behavior of concrete: A case study
The applied load has significantly impacted on the permeability behavior of concrete. Although many investigations have reported the impact of loading level on the permeability, the influence of loading direction on the permeability received little ...

Deinococcus radiodurans‐derived extracellular vesicles (R1‐EVs) provide radioprotection against total‐body irradiation‐induced acute radiation syndrome in mice. R1‐EVs mitigate oxidative damage by scavenging free radicals, promoting intestinal repair, enhancing hematopoietic function, and modulating immune responses. This study highlights the potential

Lipid Nanoparticle‐Mediated CRISPR‐Cas13a Delivery for the Control of Bacterial Infection
New formulations of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) that can deliver nucleic acids to Gram‐negative bacteria are proposed to combat bacterial infection. The delivery of nucleic acids by LNPs is aided by LNP‐helpers which weaken the bacterial outer membrane. LNPs encapsulating the Cas13a/gRNA expression vector achieve an antibacterial effect in both in vivo ...

Multiple pathways of capillary permeability. [PDF]
Morphological and physiological studies indicate multiple routes for transport across capillary endothelium. However, the identification of the morphological counterparts of specific transport processes (or the assignment of specific transport roles to morphologically identifiable pathways) has been only partly achieved: the contribution of endothelial
