Disaster–Related Medical Geology Research: A Bibliometric Mapping of Geogenic Exposure Pathways and Earth–Health Integration (1980–2025)

open access: yesGeoHealth, Volume 10, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract Medical geology (MG) examines the interactions between geological materials, environmental processes, and human health, with particular importance in disaster‐prone regions, where rapid geological changes can abruptly intensify geogenic exposures and necessitate immediate public health responses. Geological events such as earthquakes, volcanic

RNF13 is a previously undescribed interactor of iduronate 2‐sulfatase that modifies its glycosylation and maturation

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 293, Issue 14, Page 4206-4231, July 2026.
Iduronate 2‐sulfatase (IDS; purple) is expressed as a precursor protein that goes through multiple steps of maturation, modification, and trafficking to become an active lysosomal enzyme that degrades glycosaminoglycans. Our study shows that the transmembrane ubiquitin ligases RNF13 (orange) and RNF167 (pink) heterodimerize, affecting IDS intracellular

Theorizing Folded Geography in Architectural Design: Experience of Cappadocia

open access: yesMegaron, 2020
This study defines the phenomenologies of Cappadocia in design practice and strategy and attempts to understand how the atmosphere of Cappadocia can re-emerge through specific design concepts in student projects in Design Studio 5.

Free Vibration of Hemp Fiber‐Reinforced Laminated Composite Curved Beams Using Generalized Differential Quadrature Method

open access: yesPolymer Composites, Volume 47, Issue 12, Page 11300-11318, 20 June 2026.
Schematic representation of hemp‐, glass‐, and carbon‐based laminated composite curved beams, including different stacking sequences and their vibration response. ABSTRACT In recent years, increasing environmental awareness has stimulated growing interest in natural fiber‐reinforced composites (NFRCs) due to their eco‐friendly composition ...

Bizans’ta Atçılık ve At Figürünün Bizans Kapadokya’sı Duvar Resim Sanatına Yansımaları

Ayrıca, at imparatora, aristokrasiye,

Subterranean environments contribute to three‐quarters of classified ecosystem services

open access: yesBiological Reviews, Volume 101, Issue 3, Page 1582-1605, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Beneath the Earth's surface lies a network of interconnected caves, voids, and systems of fissures forming in rocks of sedimentary, igneous, or metamorphic origin. Although largely inaccessible to humans, this hidden realm supports and regulates services critical to ecological health and human well‐being.

“Instead of Pumping Iron, She was Pumping Bullets into her Husband”: The Portrayal of a Female Perpetrator in Nanette Burstein’s Killer Sally [PDF]

open access: yesIntersections, 2023
In the media, the law, and public opinion, women who resort to violence within abusive relationships are often depicted as either victims or monsters. Nanette Burstein’s three-part docuseries, Killer Sally (2022), reexamines this binary which focuses on ...

Aspects of Iconography in Byzantine Cappadocia

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Theology and Philosophy, 2021
The main novelty my article brings concerns a particular iconographic motif: that known as the ‘trial by the water of reproach’. In the few cases where this is rendered, usually only Mary is presented as undergoing this test, but in Cappadocian art Joseph is also subjected to it.

Exact Solutions and Nonlinear Dynamical Behavior in a Navier‐Stokes‐Type Model for Elastic Cylindrical Vessels: An Analytical and Computational Approach

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study investigates a nonlinear Navier‐Stokes‐type model for elastic cylindrical vessels. Exact solutions are derived via the Bäcklund transformation and the ϕ6$$ {\phi}^6 $$‐expansion method, and dynamical behaviors are analyzed using bifurcation and chaos tools, revealing diverse wave structures and parameter‐dependent propagation characteristics.
