Under the Shade of a Coolabah Tree: A Second Cache of Tulas From the Boulia District, Western Queensland

open access: yesArchaeology in Oceania, Volume 61, Issue 1, Page 39-54, April 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper reports on the excavation of a cache of stone artefacts, buried on the bank of a waterhole or ‘billabong’ in central western Queensland. This is an extremely rare find, and yet it is the second such site to be reported within less than a 10 km radius.

Chromatographic Separation of the Codonocarpine Type Alkaloids from the Root Bark of Capparis decidua

open access: yesBio-Protocol, 2017
Various parts of the caper tree Capparis decidua have found application in traditional medicine. The isolation and structural elucidation of the codonocarpine type alkaloids contained in the root bark, however, is not trivial and has probably led to ...

Lose the plot: cost-effective survey of the Peak Range, central Queensland [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The Peak Range (22˚ 28’ S; 147˚ 53’ E) is an archipelago of rocky peaks set in grassy basalt rolling-plains, east of Clermont in central Queensland. This report describes the flora and vegetation based on surveys of 26 peaks.

Data integration advances reproductive phenology research across temporal, spatial and taxonomic scales

open access: yesEcography, Volume 2026, Issue 4, April 2026.
Climate change is altering plant reproductive phenology; however, a scarcity of long‐term, systematic monitoring hinders our ability to quantify and predict these responses in many parts of the world. We addressed this gap by demonstrating how data integration can be used to produce a synthesised record of reproductive phenology observations (flowering

Structural stability of plant–pollinator interactions despite seasonal abundance of long‐tongued hawkmoths

open access: yesOikos, Volume 2026, Issue 4, April 2026.
Seasonal environmental cycles affect plant–pollinator interactions by altering plant phenology. Periods of low resource availability can filter pollinators and reduce the complexity of interaction networks, but the extent to which the functional morphology of pollinators influences such filtering remains unclear.

Sicilian Populations of Capparis spinosa L. and Capparis orientalis Duhamel as Source of the Bioactive Flavonol Quercetin

open access: yesPlants, 2023
The genus Capparis is a taxon of difficult delimitation that has several species and ecotypes due to its wide heterogeneity, its extreme phenotypic diversity, and the presence of intermediate forms linked to hybridization phenomena.

¿La disponibilidad del recurso trófico afecta la selección de grietas por Octomys mimax en el Desierto del Monte? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Rocky habitats have a particular microclimate and a highly complex structure, providing sites that mammals can use as dens or as nesting sites to raise their young.

Orthogonal series estimation of the pair correlation function of a spatial point process

open access: yes, 2017
The pair correlation function is a fundamental spatial point process characteristic that, given the intensity function, determines second order moments of the point process.
