We sequenced the whole genome of 20 Guanzhong dairy goats, including 10 high milk yield (HM) dairy goats and 10 low milk yield (LM) dairy goats. And we derived 21,324,600 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) across the 20 samples. We convert VCF files into PLINK files. The total genotyping rate is 0.987994. A total of 21324600 variants and 20 samples

Identification of the X chromosome by morphology alone is unreliable. Hauschteck-Jungen and Meili found that X of C. ibex is the second longest of the haploid set and that the karyotypes of C. hircus and C. ibex are identical. Taylor et al. considered the longest element as the X.

Distribution of rhodanese in tissues of goat (Capra hircus)
Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part B: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, 2003Rhodanese (thiosulfate: cyanide sulfurtransferase, EC. 2.8.1.1) is a ubiquitous enzyme present in all living organisms, from bacteria to humans and plays a central role in cyanide detoxification. The purpose of this investigation is to determine and compare rhodanese activity in different tissues of adult male and female goats (Capra hircus).

Efficacy of Flumethrin Pour-On Against Damalinia caprae of Goats (Capra hircus)
Tropical Animal Health and Production, 1998Goats naturally infested with Damalinia caprae lice were used to evaluate the efficacy of flumethrin pour-on. The maximum load of lice infestation was detected in the neck region. The LC50 value of flumethrin pour-on against D. caprae was found to be 119.35 ppm and the 95% confidence limits were calculated to be 104.10 and 136.85 ppm. Flumethrin at the

Behavioral chaining in the goat (Capra hircus)
Applied Animal Behaviour Science, 1994Abstract Five male castrated goats were trained to perform a behavioral chain. In Experiment I the goats were trained to run in an indoor U-shaped runway. The chain consisted of jumping over three hurdles, walking on a raised walkway, running through two 55 gallon barrels and entering an operant chamber and pressing a response panel on a fixed ratio ...

Superovulatory Treatment in Goats (Capra hircus)
The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine, 1988An experiment of 4 months {June to September, 1985) duration was conducted at UPLB using 13 nondescript does and one vasectomized buck to determine the effectiveness of FSH and PMSG in superovulation. With the equal dose of 2.5 mg. per doe, FSH was injected intramuscularly twice a day, morning and afternoon, starting on day 10-11 of the estrous cycle ...

Contrast Study of the Gastrointestinal Tract in the Goat (Capra hircus)
American Journal of Veterinary Research, 1977SUMMARY Radiographic anatomy of the gastrointestinal tract of the goat (Capra hircus) was studied. Intraluminal contrast medium was used to evaluate the mucosal surfaces of stomach and intestines, and extraluminal contrast medium was used to evaluate the serosal surfaces of organs in the peritoneal cavity.

Brucellosis of goats (Capra hircus) in Bangladesh
2007Relationship of some reproductive factors on brucellosis in goats (n=300) was tested by Rose Bengal Test (RBT), Plate Agglutination Test (PAT), Tube Agglutination Test (TAT) and Mercaptoethanol Test (MET). Out of the 300 goats, 1.7% (n=5) were positive to RBT and PAT, 2% (n=6) were positive to TAT " and 2.3% (n=7) were positive to MET.

The analysis of the methylome of Capra hircus
2015Methylation at the carbon 5 position of cytosine residues is among the best studied epigenetic modification, and a funda- mental layer of cellular differentiation through the control of transcriptional potential. DNA methylation patterns can be inherited and influenced by environment, diet and aging, and disrupted in diseases.
