Gastrointestinal digestibility of micellar casein dispersions: Effects of caprine vs bovine origin, and partial colloidal calcium depletion using in vitro digestion models for the adults and elderly.

Food Chemistry, 2023
In vitro coagulation and digestion of caprine and bovine micellar casein concentrate (MCC) with or without partial colloidal calcium depletion (deCa) were studied under simulated adult and elderly conditions.

Neospora caninum infection activated autophagy of caprine endometrial epithelial cells via mTOR signaling.

Veterinary parasitology, 2022
Neosporosis, caused by infection with the protozoan parasite Neospora caninum, is one of the main causes of abortion in cattle and small ruminants (e.g., goats), negatively influencing animal health and production costs.

Comparative Analysis of Lipid Digestion Characteristics in Human, Bovine, and Caprine Milk Based on Simulated In Vitro Infant Gastrointestinal Digestion.

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2021
Lipid digestion characteristics in human, bovine, and caprine milk were investigated using an infant in vitro digestion model. Our results suggested that particle size in bovine and caprine milk increased initially and then decreased over time, whereas ...

Effects of Human, Caprine, and Bovine Milk Fat Globules on Microbiota Adhesion and Gut Microecology.

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2021
Milk fat is an essential nutrient for infant development. The effects and mechanisms of human, caprine, and bovine milk fat globules (MFGs) on the gut microbiota were investigated in this study. Human MFGs enhance the efficacy of probiotics by inhibiting

Caprine Encephalomyelomalacia

Veterinary Pathology, 1984
Six cases of encephalomyelomalacia in dairy goats 3½ to four months of age are described. Neurologic signs had an abrupt onset and passed rapidly from ataxia to paralysis. All goats were killed after six to ten days and had spinal cord and brain stem lesions—always more extensive and severe in the cord.

Comparative lipidomics analysis of human, bovine and caprine milk by UHPLC-Q-TOF-MS.

Food Chemistry, 2019
Although infant formula represents an important human milk substitute, it has been shown to contain many different lipid structures compared to human milk.

miR‐34a/c induce caprine endometrial epithelial cell apoptosis by regulating circ‐8073/CEP55 via the RAS/RAF/MEK/ERK and PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathways

Journal of Cellular Physiology, 2020
microRNAs (miRNAs) and circular RNAs (circRNAs) are important for endometrial receptivity establishment and embryo implantation in mammals. miR‐34a and miR‐34c are highly expressed in caprine receptive endometrium (RE).
