LATE-ONSET CAPSULAR BAG DISTENSION SYNDROME: A REPORT OF TWO CASES
Capsular bag distension syndrome is a very rare complication of cataract surgery. Most cases occur after uneventful phacoemulsification with continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis and implantation of an intraocular lens in the capsular bag.

In-the-bag intraocular lens placement via secondary capsulorhexis with radiofrequency diathermy in pediatric aphakic eyes. [PDF]
Pediatric ophthalmologists increasingly recognize that the ideal site for intraocular lens (IOL) implantation is in the bag for aphakic eyes, but it is always very difficult via conventional technique.

We describe our technique for the management of late-onset liquefied after-cataract (LAC) to ensure long-term visual axis clarity. The densely adherent anterior capsular rim over the intraocular lens (IOL) optic was released with the help of ...

Management of subluxated capsular bag–fixated intraocular lenses using a capsular anchor
We describe the use of the capsular anchor (AssiAnchor) to manage a subluxated intraocular lens (IOL) in the capsular bag. The anchor comprises 2 prongs that hold the anterior lens capsule and a central rod that is sutured to the scleral wall, enabling centration of the IOL-capsular bag complex.

Management of Late onset Capsular Bag Distension Syndrome with Capsular Bag Lavage
Capsular bag distention syndrome (CBDS) is one of the rare causes of decrease in vision following cataract surgery with signs such as a shallower anterior chamber, unexpected myopic vision, and the build-up of fluid between the implanted lens and the ...

Assessment of Risk Factors for the Development of Late Intraocular Lens Dislocation
Dislocation of intraocular lens is a serious complication of phacoemulsification with implantation of intraocular lens. Among the causes of early dislocation of intraocular lens intraoperative complications predominate, as well as various form of their ...
