Soft Capsules, Hard Capsules, and Hybrid Capsules
Soft Materials, 2012Capsule structures are often regarded as mimics of living cells and have attracted attention within bio-related fields. In addition, their use in other practical applications has become important. The demands of practical applications have stimulated recent developments in capsule science and technologies.

Capsule–Capsule Conversion by Guest Encapsulation
Angewandte Chemie, 2016AbstractGuest‐induced M18L6–M24L8 capsule–capsule conversion is reported. Both capsules are composed of PdII ethylenediamine units (M) and 1,3,5‐tris(3,5‐pyrimidyl)pyrimidine (L), and form trigonal bipyramidal (M18L6) and octahedral (M24L8) closed‐shell structures with huge hydrophobic inner spaces.

Video capsule endoscopy is a major innovation that provides high-resolution imaging of the entire small intestine in its entirety. In the 4 years since its introduction, capsule endoscopy has demonstrated its viability as a first-line investigation in patients with obscure gastrointestinal bleeding after a negative esophagogastroduodenoscopy and ...

Well organized large systems tend to consist of a large number of small pieces of code each of which captures a single semantic unit. These pieces of code are strung together to form larger semantic phrases, which are in turn components of even larger phrases.

Haemophilus influenzae: capsule vaccine and capsulation genetics
Molecular Medicine Today, 1996In 1931, Dr Margaret Pittman reported her discovery that Haemophilus influenzae strains responsible for meningitis had a polysaccharide capsule, and that one capsular type, serotype b, was responsible for nearly all cases. Diverse programmes of research aimed at understanding and exploiting this seminal observation culminated, in the 1980s, in the ...

Capsule endoscopy was conceived in the late 1980s by an electrico-optical engineer and first used in human beings clinically during the last 5 years. Already it has changed the management of small bowel diseases and is beginning to be used in the esophagus. Developments are under way to use the capsule in a wider range of clinical conditions.
