Capsule-Transformer for Neural Machine Translation [PDF]
Transformer hugely benefits from its key design of the multi-head self-attention network (SAN), which extracts information from various perspectives through transforming the given input into different subspaces. However, its simple linear transformation aggregation strategy may still potentially fail to fully capture deeper contextualized information ...

A Case‐Based Reasoning Approach to Model Manufacturing Constraints for Impact Extrusion
A hybrid modeling approach is presented that combines constraint‐based process modeling and case‐based reasoning. The model formalizes manufacturing constraints and integrates simulation data to model complex manufacturing processes. The approach supports manufacturability analysis during product design through an adaptive modeling environment.

Developing process parameters for the laser‐based Powder Bed Fusion of metals can be a tedious task. Based on melt pool depth, the process parameters are transferable to different laser scan speeds. For this, understanding the melt pool scaling behavior is essential, particularly for materials with high thermal diffusivity, as a change in scaling ...

Examining the Benefits of Capsule Neural Networks [PDF]
Capsule networks are a recently developed class of neural networks that potentially address some of the deficiencies with traditional convolutional neural networks. By replacing the standard scalar activations with vectors, and by connecting the artificial neurons in a new way, capsule networks aim to be the next great development for computer vision ...

This perspective article explores an innovative powder metallurgical approach to producing high‐nitrogen steels by utilizing a mixture of stainless steel and Si3N4. This mixture undergoes hot isostatic pressing followed by direct quenching. The article also examines adapting this method to laser powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB/M) to overcome nitrogen ...

Evaluation of the solubility of the HPMC: PVA blends in biological fluids in vitro
Polymers are often used to coat tablets for controlled drug release. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the solubility of the HPMC and PVA blend compared to isolated polymers in solutions with a pH of biological fluids (6 and 1.2) and the ...

Powder Metallurgy and Additive Manufacturing of High‐Nitrogen Alloyed FeCr(Si)N Stainless Steel
The alloying element Nitrogen enhances stainless steel strength, corrosion resistance, and stabilizes austenite. This study develops austenitic FeCr(Si)N steel production via powder metallurgy. Fe20Cr and Si3N4 are hot isostatically pressed, creating an austenitic microstructure.

Mitigating Vanishing Activations in Deep CapsNets Using Channel Pruning [PDF]
Capsule Networks outperform Convolutional Neural Networks in learning the part-whole relationships with viewpoint invariance, and the credit goes to their multidimensional capsules. It was assumed that increasing the number of capsule layers in the capsule networks would enhance the model performance. However, recent studies found that Capsule Networks
