Evaluation of Enzyme Inhibition and Kinetic Profiles of Origanum Essential Oils on Metabolic and Central Nervous System Targets

open access: yesNatural Sciences, Volume 6, Issue 3, July 2026.
The essential oils of three Origanum species were chemically characterized and evaluated for their antioxidant and enzyme inhibitory activities. The different compositions confer selective bioactivities: O. vulgare exhibits good antioxidant and α‐glucosidase inhibitory activity, O. majorana shows promising tyrosinase inhibition, and O.

A Numerical Method Combining Cubic Interpolated Propagation and Shifted Grünwald–Letnikov for Fractional Advection–Dispersion Equations

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, Volume 50, Issue 8, Page 3546-3557, 10 June 2026.
ABSTRACT Recent advances in the numerical solution of fractional partial differential equations have yielded promising results. In particular, the Shifted Grünwald–Letnikov (SGL) approach allows for a generalization of the traditional finite difference method to the context of fractional differential equations.

Solution of Some Types for Composition Fractional Order Differential Equations Corresponding to Optimal Control Problems

open access: yesJournal of Control Science and Engineering, 2018
The approximate solution for solving a class of composition fractional order optimal control problems (FOCPs) is suggested and studied in detail. However, the properties of Caputo and Riemann-Liouville derivatives are also given with complete details on ...

A SINGULAR FRACTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION WITH RIESZ-CAPUTO DERIVATIVE

open access: yesJournal of Applied Analysis & Computation
Summary: In this paper, we obtain the existence results for positive solutions of a class of boundary value problems for fractional differential equations with Riesz-Caputo derivative by using of the theory of Leray-Schauder degree. The interesting point is the nonlinear term \(f(t, u)\) may be singular at \(u=0\).

Operando X‐Ray Diffraction and Total Scattering Characterization of Battery Materials: Not Just a Pretty Picture

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 16, Issue 19, 20 May 2026.
This review focuses on operando studies of battery materials by X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and total X‐ray scattering (TXS). This work highlights potential pitfalls and identify best‐practices for operando studies and reviews some unusual experiments to illustrate how these methods can be applied beyond the evaluation of the early‐stage cycling mechanisms

Unpacking the Impact of Nutri‐Score on Consumer Choices in Italy: Evidence From a Menu Planning Experiment

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 3, May 2026.
Overnutrition represents a major public health issue, and front‐of‐pack labels like Nutri‐Score aim to promote healthier choices. This study shows that Nutri‐Score shifts consumer selections toward healthier options, especially at scale extremes. It also modifies meal composition by encouraging healthier pairings and category switching, particularly ...

Stability analysis of a class of Langevin equations in the frame of generalized Caputo fractional operator with nonlocal boundary conditions

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems
The main objective of the present paper is to establish the existence and uniqueness of solutions for the fractional Langevin equation involving the ϕ-Caputo fractional operator with nonlocal boundary conditions.

Homotopy Perturbation Method Combined with ZZ Transform to Solve Some Nonlinear Fractional Differential Equations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Analysis and Applications, 2019
The idea proposed in this work is to extend the ZZ transform method to resolve the nonlinear fractional partial differential equations by combining them with the so-called homotopy perturbation method (HPM).
