Recent Advances in Laser‐Induced Graphene‐Based Gas Sensors: From Sensing Mechanisms to Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Laser‐induced graphene (LIG) provides a scalable, laser‐direct‐written route to porous graphene architecture with tunable chemistry and defect density. Through heterojunction engineering, catalytic functionalization, and intrinsic self‐heating, LIG achieves highly sensitive and selective detection of NOX, NH3, H2, and humidity, supporting next ...

“More” Artificial mRNAs: Beyond the Art of Nature

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by nature yet transcending it, synthetic mRNA is being redesigned beyond the canonical architecture. This review highlights emerging forms—circular, branched, and self‐amplifying mRNAs—that expand stability, persistence, and functional control, illustrating how artificial mRNA is evolving into a new medium for programmable biological ...

Car Ownership in Households

open access: yesCar Ownership in Households
Car ownership in households is analyzed by disaggregate behavioral modeling technique. Two models are built to analyze characteristic features of car ownership. The results are (1) The number of driver licenses in a household is, as a matter of course, most influencing on car ownership and multi-ownership. (2) Family size is the second most influencing.

The Impact of Government Policy on Private Car Ownership in Ireland [PDF]

open access: yes
We construct a model of the stock of private cars in the Republic of Ireland. The model distinguishes cars by fuel, engine size and age. The modelled car stock is built up from a long history of data on sales, and calibrated to recent data on actual ...

Economic development and changes in car ownership patterns [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The contributions of this paper are twofold: On the one hand, the paper analyses the factors determining the growth in car ownership in Spain over the last two decades, and, on the other, the paper provides empirical evidence for a controversial ...
