TYPIFICATION OF THE LINNAEAN SPECIES OF CARAGANA

Four species of Caragana were described by Linnaeus under the genus Robinia. The following specimens in the Linnaean Herbarium of the Linnaean Society of London are selected as lectotypes of these species: C. arborescens Lam., spec. 913.5; C. frutex (L.) Koch, spec. 913.6; C. pygmaea (L.) DC., spec. 913.8. The type of the genus Caragana is spec. 913.5.
