Mitochondrial DNA. Part A, DNA mapping, sequencing, and analysis, 2020
The Japanese scad Decapterus maruadsi (Carangidae) is an economically important marine species in Asia but its exploitation shows signs of overfishing. To document its stock structure, a population genetic and phylogeographic study of several populations

Carangidae indeterminate (Figure 92) Material: 1 specimen in total. Roxas (1) RGM 962266. One well preserved specimen but with broken rostral point (OL>1.73, OH= 0.95 mm) is recognized by its very long cauda that bends sharply towards and nearly reaches the ventral rim at its end. The outer rims are ornamented with lobes, which are somewhat finer along

The biology of Carangidae (Teleostei) in Natal estuaries
Journal of Fish Biology, 1983The occurrence and abundance of 17 species of Carangidae in Natal estuaries are described. The following six species are of significance in the estuarine community: Caranx ignobilis, C. melampygus, C. papuensis, C. sexfasciatus, Lichia amia and Scomberoides lysan. Only juveniles and subadults utilize estuaries. The time of recruitment, growth rates and

The complete mitochondrial genome of theTrachinotus ovatus(Teleostei, Carangidae)
Mitochondrial DNA, 2013We present the complete mitochondrial genome of the Trachinotus ovatus in this study. The mitochondrial genome is 16,563 bp long and consists of 13 protein-coding genes, two rRNA genes, 22 tRNA genes and a control region. The gene order and composition of T. ovatus mitochondrial genome was similar to that of most other vertebrates.

Molecular Systematics of Selene (Perciformes: Carangidae) Based on Cytochrome b Sequences
Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution, 2001The marine fishes of the genus Selene are morphologically unique, although little is known about how these species are related to other members of the family Carangidae (Perciformes). In addition, questions remain about the potential validity of two putative species and how species groups with unique body forms within Selene are related.

Complete mitochondrial genome of Florida pompano Trachinotus carolinus (Teleostei, Carangidae)
Mitochondrial DNA Part A, 2014The complete mitochondrial genome sequence of Florida pompano Trachinotus carolinus was determined by the overlapped polymerase chain reaction. The complete mitochondrial DNA sequence is 16,544 bp in length. It consists of 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, two rRNA genes and two non-coding regions.
