Reusable Selenenyl Iodide‐Initiated Cascade Cyclization of Polyenes with N‐terminating Groups

open access: yesChemistry – An Asian Journal, EarlyView.
A cascade cyclization of polyenes with N‑terminating groups, initiated by an isolable selenenyl iodide, was developed. The cavity‑shaped substituent stabilized both the selenenyl iodide and the selenenic acid generated via β‑selenoxide elimination, enabling the regeneration of selenenyl iodide.

Silica sulfuric acid: a versatile and reusable heterogeneous catalyst for the synthesis of N-acyl carbamates and oxazolidinones under solvent-free conditions

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Ethiopia, 2011
Silica sulfuric acid catalyzes efficiently the reaction of carbamates and oxazolidinones with anhydrides under solvent-free conditions. All the reactions were done at room temperature and the N-acyl carbamates and oxazolidinones were obtained with high ...

Hindered Rotations in Carhamoylethyl-thiocarbamate Derivatives [PDF]

open access: yes, 1973
The synthesis of methyl N-[2-(carbamoyl)-ethyl]carbamates and their thio-analogues is described. The NMR spectra of thio- carbamates indicated hindered rotation around C-N bonds and separation of two geometrical ...

Advances in Cytosolic Delivery of Proteins: Approaches, Challenges, and Emerging Technologies

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, EarlyView.
Proteins regulate almost all biological processes, and overcoming the protein's natural membrane inpermeability will provide a unique opportunity for intracellular targeting of related therapeutic proteins. Chemical modification of proteins and different types of delivery vectors can mediate intracellular transport of proteins, providing new ideas for ...

Macrocycles of Saxitoxin: Insights into the Structure of Zetekitoxin AB

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 26, Issue 10, May 27, 2025.
Synthetic macrocycles of (+)‐saxitoxin, the causative agent of paralytic shellfish poisoning, have been prepared. These are designed to mimic the macrocyclic core of the proposed structure for zetekitoxin AB. Interestingly, these synthetic macrocycles do not form the C12 hydrate as commonly observed in this family of toxins, casting doubt on the ...
