Mechanisms of lung tumorigenesis by ethyl carbamate and vinyl carbamate
Drug Metabolism Reviews, 2010Vinyl carbamate (VC) and ethyl carbamate (EC) induce the formation of lung tumors. The mechanism involves a two-step oxidation of EC to VC and VC to an epoxide, both of which are mediated mainly by CYP2E1. Interaction of the epoxide with DNA leads to the formation of DNA adducts, including 1,N(6)ethenodeoxyadenosine and 1,N(4)-ethenodeoxycytidine.

The Pharmacology of Propanediol Carbamates
1971Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the pharmacology of propanediol carbarnates. The intensive interest generated in the pharmacology of meprobamate represented a departure from previous emphasis on more complex and more sophisticated chemical substances as potential therapeutic agents.

Nickel-Catalyzed Amination of Aryl Carbamates with Ammonia
, 2017Aryl carbamates were employed in the nickel-catalyzed monoarylation of ammonia. The applied, well-defined single-component nickel(II) precatalyst contains a Josiphos ligand, is air-stable, and operates without any ancillary reductant.
