Carbon Dioxide Uroflowmetry

Journal of Urology, 1979
A method using pneumatic compression to determine flow rate is described. The procedure is best suited for physicians using carbon dioxide instrumentation for a urodynamic assessment of patients since the carbon dioxide cystometer is readily converted to a uroflowmeter.

Carbon dioxide hysteroscopy

American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1976
Hysteroscopy was performed on 75 patients undergoing a dilatation and curettage for routine gynecologic problems. For the distetnion of the uterine cavity carbon dioxide was used and found to be an adequate medium to establish a pneumometra. It provided good visualization and was simple and safe to use for the hysteroscopic examination.
