Carbon Capture and Utilization in the Industrial Sector
The fabrication and manufacturing processes of industrial commodities such as iron, glass, and cement are carbon-intensive, accounting for 23% of global CO2 emissions. As a climate mitigation strategy, CO2 capture from flue gases of industrial processes-much like that of the power sector-has not experienced wide adoption given its high associated costs.

Carbonic anhydrase for CO2 capture, conversion and utilization
Current Opinion in Biotechnology, 2022Carbonic anhydrase (CA) enzymes, catalyzing the CO2 hydration at a high turnover number, can be employed in expediting CO2 capture, conversion and utilization to aid in carbon neutrality. Despite extensive research over the last decade, there remain challenges in CA-related technologies due to poor stability and suboptimal use of CAs.

Carbon Capture Utilization Potential in Malaysia
Global NEST International Conference on Environmental Science & Technology, 2022Under the Paris agreement, Malaysia has set its target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 45% by 2030 (35% of which is on an unconditional basis), having 2005 as the base year. Carbon capture and utilization, together with an increased use of renewable energy sources, will be one of the main pillars of the national policy towards achieving this ...
