Accelerated Carbon Dioxide Uptake by Algae Via Regenerable Materials
202262 pages ; Microalgae have great potential in closing the carbon cycle. They fix nearly 40% of atmospheric CO2 and have various applications in fields of energy, food and medicine. However, the scale-up of the conventional microalgae cultivation has been limited by the needs for massive land use, freshwater resources, and energy consumption.

Uptake of carbon dioxide from flue gas by microalgae
Energy Conversion and Management, 1996Abstract The technology under development seeks to provide affordable, and efficient methods for reducing carbon dioxide and other emissions from coal-fired electricity generation based on biological assimilation. Photosynthetic microorganisms such as microalgae, when grown in large outdoor ponds could use carbon dioxide from flue gas directly ...

On the dynamics of internal leaf carbon dioxide uptake
Journal of Mathematical Biology, 1981A model is proposed to investigate the hypothesis that the observed time course of whole leaf photosynthetic responses to changes in incident light energy are caused by diffusional limitations. The model leaf consists of a continuously distributed mesophyll with diffusion of CO2 in the leaf interior governed by a reaction-diffusion equation ...

Carbon Dioxide Uptake of Pine Seedlings After Cool Storage
Forest Science, 1978Abstract Seedlings of Pinus Mugo Turra and P. radiata D. Don were stored for periods of up to 18 weeks following different nursery bed wrenching treatments and lifting times. All seedlings were then potted and grown in controlled environment for 6 weeks before being assessed for CO2 uptake and water potential.

Uptake and loss of carbon dioxide in volumetric analysis
Journal of Chemical Education, 1986This paper will show, by means of a few significant examples, how two types of diagrams can be used to illustrate the behavior of systems of interest in volumetric analysis, where absorption of loss of carbon dioxide takes place.
