Atmospheric carbon dioxide uptake by mangrove trees
Background:. This study was written in the aim of knowing how to calculate the carbon uptake by mangrove using steps that had been done by previous study, also knowing which type of mangrove that absorbs most of the carbon. Methods: This paper is compiled by collecting related data from various library sources, such as online articles and other ...

This work demonstrates the successful integration of a phenanthroline‐based 2D COF with MnI catalytic sites into a catholyte‐free membrane‐electrode‐assembly cell for CO2 electroreduction. The crystalline COF actively suppresses Mn⁰–Mn⁰ dimerization, achieving a turnover frequency of 617 h⁻¹ at 2.8 V (full‐cell potential), and enabling stable operation.

Effects of CO2 enrichment on photosynthesis, growth, and nitrogen metabolism of the seagrass Zostera noltii [PDF]
Seagrass ecosystems are expected to benefit from the global increase in CO2 in the ocean because the photosynthetic rate of these plants may be C-i-limited at the current CO2 level.

Uptake of Carbon Dioxide, Hydrogen and Oxygen by Hydrogenomonas facilis [PDF]
The simultaneous uptake of CO2, H2, and O2 by non-proliferating cells of Hydrogenomonas facilis was studied by means of a new method employing ordinary Warburg vessels each provided with one stopper side-arm and one vent side-arm. H. facilis effected the same overall reaction as that carried out by certain anaerobically adapted green algae: 6H2 + 2O2 +

A pore tuning strategy to amplify the multi‐site MOF‐SO2 interactions is proposed to achieve an enhanced trace SO2 capture and chemiresistive sensing in highly stable isostructural DMOFs by annelating benzene rings. This work provides a facile strategy to achieve tailor‐made stable MOF materials for specific multifunctional applications.

Effect of permafrost thaw on CO2 and CH4 exchange in a western Alaska peatland chronosequence [PDF]
Permafrost soils store over half of global soil carbon (C), and northern frozen peatlands store about 10% of global permafrost C. With thaw, inundation of high latitude lowland peatlands typically increases the surface-atmosphere flux of methane (CH4), a

Paclobutrazol Reduces Photosynthetic Carbon Dioxide Uptake Rate in Grapevines [PDF]
Paclobutrazol applied as a soil drench at 0, 1, 10, 100, or 1000 μg a.i./g soil reduced photosynthetic CO 2 uptake rate of leaves formed before paclobutrazol treatment within 3 to 5 days of treatment and the reductions were maintained for 15 days after treatment.

The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

An investigation into linearity with cumulative emissions of the climate and carbon cycle response in HadCM3LC [PDF]
We investigate the extent to which global mean temperature, precipitation, and the carbon cycle are constrained by cumulative carbon emissions throughout four experiments with a fully coupled climate-carbon cycle model.
