Changes in carbon emission performance of energy-intensive industries in China

Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2022
As the major energy consumers, energy-intensive industries are the key players in achieving carbon emission reduction targets. The paper builds a super slack-based model (SBM) considering this undesirable output and calculates the carbon emission efficiency.

China's carbon intensity factor decomposition and carbon emission decoupling analysis

Energy, 2022
Abstract China's carbon emissions have been ranking first in the world. This study filled in the gaps in research, decomposed carbon intensity from the perspective of time, space and industry. A decoupling effort model based on factor decomposition models was constructed to analyze the driving factors of carbon emissions and economic decoupling ...

FINANCIAL DEVELOPMENT AND CARBON EMISSION INTENSITY

2024: Proceedings of Social Science and Humanities Research Association (SSHRA)
Theoretic and empirical literature provides debate relationships between financial development and carbon emissions. Does financial development matters for carbon emissions? This study considers two additional aspects into the field. First is to consider a comprehensive measure of financial development that takes the functions of financial depth ...

Clan Culture and Carbon Emission Intensity

International Review of Finance
Abstract This study introduces a novel perspective by examining the influence of clan culture on carbon emission intensity (CEI) in Chinese cities. Clan culture, as a traditional social organization, shapes the informal institutions within modern Chinese society.

Asymmetric trade barriers and CO2 emissions in carbon-intensive industry

Journal of Environmental Management
Since large carbon emissions are transferred through international trade, it is vital to explore the role country-specific trade policy has on carbon-intensive industries. The present study contributes to a deeper understanding of the connection between trade and environment in the literature, especially the impacts of trade barriers on carbon ...

Intense electron emission from carbon fiber cathodes

The European Physical Journal D, 2001
We studied the emission properties of carbon fiber cathodes. These cathodes were made either of a single carbon fiber or of carbon fabric, or of an array of carbon fiber bundles. It was found that an intense emission of electrons occurs from a plasma which is formed on the carbon fiber surface as a result of a flashover process.

Incentive model for enterprises based on carbon emission intensity

Journal of Cleaner Production, 2019
Abstract A pilot scheme for a carbon emissions trading market has been launched in China. Some problems within the market include insufficient incentives, inefficient emissions reduction, and inequitable distribution. While previous studies adopted a state or provincial level perspective to examine such issues, little research has focused on ...

The decomposition and policy meaning of China’s carbon emission intensity

Evolutionary and Institutional Economics Review, 2016
Economic policy and energy policy are two major factors of energy consumption and carbon emissions in China. This paper analyzed China’s carbon emission intensity from two perspectives: per capita carbon emission of primary energy (CEPE) and final carbon emission intensity (FCEI), that is, final carbon emission per unit of GDP.
