Hierarchical Carbon Fiber@MXene@MoS2 Core‐sheath Synergistic Microstructure for Tunable and Efficient Microwave Absorption

Advanced Functional Materials, 2020
Microcosmic 3D hierarchical structural design has proved to be an effective strategy to obtain high‐performance microwave absorbers, although the treatments to low‐dimensional cells in monolithic framework are usually based on semiempirical rules.

Flexible Carbon-fiber/semimetal Bi Nanosheet Arrays as Separable and Recyclable Plasmonic Photocatalysts and Photoelectrocatalysts.

ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2020
In this work, we prepared flexible carbon-fiber/semimetal Bi nanosheet arrays from solvothermal-synthesized carbon-fiber/Bi2O2CO3 nanosheet arrays via a reductive calcination process.

Heterogeneities in carbon fibers

Carbon, 1975
Abstract Acrylic fibers, stabilized acrylic fibers, and graphite fibers have been selectively etched by ion bombardment. After ion etching, the fibers are characterized by structures oriented transverse to the fiber axis with an average spacing ranging from 500 to 3000 A.

Facile in situ preparation of high-performance epoxy vitrimer from renewable resources and its application in nondestructive recyclable carbon fiber composite

Green Chemistry, 2019
A high-performance epoxy vitrimer was facilely prepared from a renewable lignin derivative vanillin, and its carbon-fiber composites were nondestructively recycled.

Lyocell fibers as the precursor of carbon fibers

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2003
AbstractIn this work, Lyocell fibers, used as carbon fiber precursors, were investigated. Lyocell fibers used for the carbon precursors and the carbon fibers themselves were produced in our laboratory. The mechanical properties morphology and structure of the precursors and the obtained carbon fibers were studied and compared to those of rayon.

Coating of Carbon Fibers—The Strength of the Fibers

Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 1995
The 6k carbon fiber Torayca T800H was coated with pyrolytic carbon by a CVD process. Fiber bundles were tested and evaluated. By this procedure, the whole distribution of the failure probability with respect to the fiber strength is obtained in a single experiment.
