Carbon intensity of “average” ships

International Shipbuilding Progress, 2022
This paper investigates the carbon intensity of “average” ships, i.e., the ships of different types and sizes which, in 2018, performed an average transport work and emitted an average amount of CO 2 , according to the data published in the Fourth IMO GHG Study.

High-intensity carbon ion injector

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1979
An injector of intense beams of carbon ions is described. The device uses an array of carbon plasma guns to inject ions directly into a magnetically insulated acceleration gap. Ion currents exceed 3 kA with beam energies between 100 and 300 keV (for C+) and 200 and 600 keV (for C++) over a 700-ns pulselength.

Sweetness intensity in low-carbonated beverages

Biomolecular Engineering, 2001
The carbonation perception and sweetness perception were investigated under the presence of low level of carbondioxide less than 1.0 gas volume. Carbonation perception decreased linearly as carbonation level decreased. Sweetness perception showed inconsistency by means of evaluation methods: Triangle difference test led the result showing carbonation ...
