Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

China's Carbon Emissions 1971-2003 [PDF]
A number of previous studies on China's carbon emissions have mainly focused on two facts: 1) the continuous growth in emissions up till the middle of the 1990s; 2) the recent stability of emissions from 1996 to 2001.

The Time Value of Carbon and Carbon Storage: Clarifying the terms and the policy implications of the debate [PDF]
The question of whether there is any value to the temporary storage of carbon is fundamental to climate policy design across a number of arenas, including physical carbon discounting in greenhouse gas accounting, the relative value of temporary carbon ...

Carbon Storage in an Artificial Soil [PDF]
As we strive to find new technologies to dispose of our municipal solid waste, compost-like outputs (CLOs) are becoming more widely created. As a product of both aerobic and anaerobic digestion, they provide a potentially important carbon store and some ...

Determinants of soil organic matter chemistry in maritime temperate forest ecosystems [PDF]
While the influence of climate, vegetation, management and abiotic site factors on total carbon budgets and turn-over is intensively assessed, the influences of these ecosystem properties on the chemical complexity of soil organic matter (SOM) remains ...

This study applies machine learning regression to predict chromium layer thickness in decorative trivalent chromium electroplating, using 441 experiments from laboratory‐scale (1L) and pilot‐scale (14L) setups. Tree‐based models, particularly CatBoost, outperformed linear regression by capturing nonlinear parameter interactions (R2$R^2$ up to 0.77 ...
