Effect of Solution pH on the Carbon Microsphere Synthesized by Hydrothermal Carbonization
AbstractCarbon microspheres(CMSs) in a diameter of 10colonm were prepared by the hydrothermal carbonization of starch under different solution pH value. The structures and surface chemical properties of obtained CMSs before and after carbonization were characterized and compared by SEM images, nitrogen adsorption isotherms and FT-IR spectra.

Ferromagnetism of Nanographite Structures in Carbon Microspheres [PDF]
Carbon microspheres with unusual magnetic properties have been prepared by the method of solid-phase pyrolysis where metal-free phthalocyanine was used as a precursor. The morphology, structure, and magnetic properties of prepared samples were investigated using electron microscopy, magnetometry, and electron paramagnetic resonance. Carbon microspheres

Sol-gel fabrication of porous ceria microspheres for thermochemical carbon dioxide (CO2) splitting
Porous CeO2 has been of great interest recently, due to its great catalytic efficiency in splitting CO2 into CO and O2. Porous CeO2 microspheres are the key to scaling up such reactions in the fluidized-bed solar thermochemical reactors.
