Microenvironment Engineering Enables Broad Strategies for Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microenvironment engineering offers effective solutions to the challenges of lithium‐sulfur batteries (LSBs) by controlling the physical and chemical environments of their key components. This review highlights the progress in four microenvironment engineering strategies: structural, lithiophilicity, sulfiphilicity, and lithiophilicity‐sulfiphilicity ...

Dual‐Ionic Weakly Solvating Electrolyte Design Enables Efficient Fast‐Cycling of High‐Voltage Anion Shuttle Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual‐ionic weakly solvating electrolyte is developed to simultaneously regulate cation and anion transport in sodium‐based anion shuttle batteries. Functionalized nano‐graphene oxide additives reshape solvation environments, enabling high‐rate performance and long‐term stability.

Superelastic Hard Carbon Nanofiber Aerogels

Advanced Materials, 2019
Superelastic carbon aerogels have been widely explored by graphitic carbons and soft carbons. These soft aerogels usually have delicate microstructures with good fatigue resistance but ultralow strength.

Design of compressible and elastic N-doped porous carbon nanofiber aerogels as binder-free supercapacitor electrodes

, 2020
Nowadays, carbon nanomaterials are considered as the most important supercapacitor electrode materials. But it's still a great challenge to design rational structures of carbon materials at both nano and micro scales to endow carbon electrode materials ...
