Synergistic electrocatalysis of polysulfides by a nanostructured VS4-carbon nanofiber functional separator for high-performance lithium–sulfur batteries

Journal of Materials Chemistry A, 2019
Nanostructured VS4 was in situ grown on defect-rich carbon nanofibers as a functional separator coating, which exerts the efficient entrapment and electrocatalysis of LiPS conversion.

Novel Electrically Conductive Porous PDMS/Carbon Nanofiber Composites for Deformable Strain Sensors and Conductors.

ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2017
Highly flexible and deformable electrically conductive materials are vital for the emerging field of wearable electronics. To address the challenge of flexible materials with a relatively high electrical conductivity and a high elastic limit, we report a

Polycarbonate carbon nanofiber composites

European Polymer Journal, 2005
Carbon nanofiber (CNF) composites have the potential for creating inexpensive, semiconducting polymers. These composites require a homogeneous dispersion within the polymer. Many groups have focused on high shear methods such as twin screw extrusion.

Nitrogen-Enriched Carbon Nanofiber Aerogels Derived from Marine Chitin for Energy Storage and Environmental Remediation

, 2018
Nitrogen-enriched (N-enriched) carbon nanofiber aerogels (NCNAs) with an ultrafine nanofiber network structure were designed and prepared by using chitin nanofiber aerogels as the precursor.

Deacetylation of cellulose acetate nanofibers by fluorination for carbon nanofibers

Materials Letters, 2016
Abstract Cellulose acetate (CA), with an easily controlled morphology in the production of nanofibers, requires deacetylation to produce carbon nanofibers (CFs). In this study, electrospun CA nanofibers were deacetylated by fluorination. In mild fluorination, CA nanofiber and fluorinated CA nanofibers had similar fiber morphologies.

Carbonized Electrospun Nanofiber Sheets for Thermophones

ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2016
Thermoacoustic performance of thin freestanding sheets of carbonized poly(acrylonitrile) and polybenzimidazole nanofibers are studied as promising candidates for thermophones. We analyze thermodynamic properties of sheets using transport parameters of single nanofibers and their aligned and randomly electrospun thin film assemblies.

Multi-Functional Aramid Nanofiber/Carbon Nanotube Hybrid Aerogel Films.

ACS Nano, 2019
Lightweight, robust and thin aerogel films with multi-functionality are highly desirable to meet the technological demands of current society. However, fabrication and thereafter application of these multi-functional aerogel films are still significantly

High rate and long cycle life porous carbon nanofiber paper anodes for potassium-ion batteries

, 2017
Potassium-ion batteries (KIBs) are an emerging energy storage technology for low cost and large scale applications. However, they suffer from insufficient cycle life and poor rate capability caused by the large K ions.
