DYNAMICS OF CARBON DIOXIDE ADSORPTION BY CARBON NANOTUBES
This article is devoted to the study of the carbon dioxide adsorption process. The relevance of using carbon nanotubes for adsorbing carbon dioxide from industrial emissions is that carbon nanotubes have a high surface area and can effectively interact ...

ZnS‐MXene‐TiO2 nanocomposite heterojunction for photocatalytic decomposition of this methylene blue dye (MB) greatly improves light absorption, charge separation, and active site area. Two‐dimensional MXene forms nanocomposites by easily combining them with 0D (quantum dots), 1D (tube and wire), 2D (plane and sheet), and 3D (particle and lamellar ...

Carbon nanotube chirality determines properties of encapsulated linear carbon chain
Long linear carbon chains encapsulated inside carbon nanotubes are a very close realization of carbyne, the truly one-dimensional allotrope of carbon. Here we study individual pairs of double-walled carbon nanotubes and encapsulated linear carbon chains ...

BN domains included into carbon nanotubes: role of interface [PDF]
We present a density functional theory study on the shape and arrangement of small BN domains embedded into single-walled carbon nanotubes. We show a strong tendency for the BN hexagons formation at the simultaneous inclusion of B and N atoms within the ...

This study reports lightweight polyetherimide triply periodic minimal surfaces lattices coated with carbon nanotube‐reinforced epoxy that combine mechanical robustness with self‐sensing. The conformal coating enhances stiffness, strength and energy absorption while enabling reliable strain monitoring.

Exciton binding energies in carbon nanotubes from two-photon photoluminescence
One- and two-photon luminescence excitation spectroscopy showed a series of distinct excitonic states in single-walled carbon nanotubes. The energy splitting between one- and two-photon-active exciton states of different wavefunction symmetry is the ...

Raman G and D band in strongly photoexcited carbon nanotubes [PDF]
We observe clear differences in the spectral shift of the Raman D and G bands when heating double wall carbon nanotubes through intense photon irradiation and by varying the temperature in a thermostat.

Photoswitchable Conductive Metal–Organic Frameworks
A conductive material where the conductivity can be modulated remotely by irradiation with light is presented. It is based on films of conductive metal–organic framework type Cu3(HHTP)2 with embedded photochromic molecules such as azobenzene, diarylethene, spiropyran, and hexaarylbiimidazole in the pores.

Direct Experimental Evidence of Exciton-Phonon Bound States in Carbon Nanotubes [PDF]
We present direct experimental observation of exciton-phonon bound states in the photoluminescence excitation spectra of isolated single walled carbon nanotubes in aqueous suspension.
