Evaluation of hot dry rock reservoir stimulation based on microseismic monitoring method: a case study of the Northern Jiangsu Basin

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
The reservoir stimulation is an indispensable part in the development of hot dry rock, and the evaluation of reservoir stimulation is particularly crucial for guiding the subsequent implementation of Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS). This paper proposes

Electrocatalytic Reduction of CO2 to Ethylene: Catalyst Design and Synchrotron‐Based Characterizations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review evaluates strategies for electrochemical CO2 reduction to ethylene, focusing on copper‐based catalyst design and microenvironment modulation to achieve industrial‐grade performance. By leveraging operando synchrotron‐based characterizations, we provide a multiscale understanding of dynamic structural transformations and key reaction ...

Triblock Polymer Engineering Enables Hydration‐Rich, High‐Performance, Fouling‐Resistant Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A molecularly engineered triblock polymer (PHZ) rapidly reorganizes into a hydration‐rich interfacial layer on diverse surfaces, strongly suppressing hydrophobic attraction and fouling. The triblock polymer provides robust energy and steric barriers to oily foulants, enabling high‐performance antifouling at ultralow dosage.

Temporal Variation in Bacterial Community Characteristics Shaped by Habitat in a Reservoir Buffer Strip in China

open access: yesEcology and Evolution
Habitat and temporal variation can both influence microbial community dynamics, although their relative importance in reservoir buffer zones with complex hydrology regimes and dramatically altered environments remains controversial. To elucidate this, we

Evaluation of the impact of climate change on the ecological resistance and ecological corridors based on set pair analysis theory

open access: yesEcological Indicators
Climate change significantly impacts ecological resistance and ecological corridors. However, the difficulty in evaluating this impact lies in two crucial issues: (i) the uncertainty arising from spatial heterogeneity, and (ii) the diversity of impacts ...
